Bridesmaid Dress Size

Today, I received a very important phone call from my sister. She was quite stressed that I hadn't ordered my bridesmaid dress yet. Technically, I had until tomorrow to order it, but since she's the one getting married I won't tick her off and mention it.

So, you may ask me why I procrastinated. Well, because I didn't want to see just how much bigger every part of my body has gotten these last few years. I don't want to face reality! I kept thinking that by putting it off the inches would magically just wash away. WRONG!

What did I do? I gave round about measurements from the last time I did measure myself, and then added some. Although I do think it would be fun to get a dress that is too small so that I'm forced to lose weight, I decided to get a dress that will be too big.. hopefully, that is.....

Funny Math

Ugh! This is so confusing! It's like doing my taxes - none of it makes sense! How can you lose 3 lbs yet still gain an inch around your waist?

If elves or leprechauns arent involved in this mystery, then life has some 'splainin to do.

Here's the Scoop

Niki, my yoga friend, cycling friend, and then undoing it all with Pappasito's Mexican food friend, and I have decided that now is the time to put this flab to an end. It's time to stop making excuses and just start a program, a journey, an INCREDIBLE journey, to fight this off forever- or at least until we decide otherwise.

We've both been thinner before, and we've both been fatter before. Right now, we just lack the motivation to get off our butts and workout and eat right. It's been especially challenging since I don't live in the same town, Atlanta, anymore. One can't chew the other one out for not showing up for a 6 am cycling class.

What's the solution? Well, we're going to give this a try- documenting our food intake and daily activities on this blog. If one of us eats anything that is deemed unhealthy (stay tuned for "The Off-Limits List"), there will be consequences. Just as when you were little and you got put in time-out for not doing what you were told, we have developed our own "time out" system.

By December, we will have done everything we needed to to be beach body ready. Granted, we missed the boat this summer, but by December we'll be six months ahead of schedule.

Wish us luck!
